- Product Details: Made of PPS (polyphenylsiloxan). The screw caps with virgin membrane gaskets are resistant to high mechanical stresses - even at temperatures up to150°:C The very handy knurl allows a safe closing and an easy opening of the screw caps. The gasket consists of a virgin membrane with a multidirectional orientated fiber pattern. Thus, the medium is exposed only to and a universal chemical resistance is assured. The membrane with its plastic and elastic qualities can easily be formed, and unevenesses' along the contact surface can be compensated. This membrane which has an excellent sealing quality is particularly suitable for the use under vacuum (cold traps, ...). According to VDI/VDE directions 2480 the gasket is physiologically safe at a permanent temperature up to150°:C The requirements according to FDA 21 CFR 177-1550 are also fulfilled.
