Glass Connecting Pieces & Accessories
Conical ground joints are mostly used for laboratory glassware. They are suitable for use under vacuum or slight
overpressure, in many cases even without clamps.
Ground Joint Connecting Pieces Cone and socket are made of Borosilicate glass 3.3 Our conical joints are manufactured to an accuracy of only 1/10 of the admitted taper angle deviation.
Springs & Sleeves These stainless steel made springs, bore of the spring line 5 mm, are suitable for
securing conical ground joints in general. Sleeves with groove and made of PTFE can be used instead of lubricating grease
when slight or medium vacuum is required.
Spherical Ground Joints Cups and balls are made of Borosilicate glass 3.3 corresponding to DIN 12 244 part
1 and due to their high grinding quality interchangeable. Used with lubricating grease
spherical joints provide a high tightness meeting the highest requirements.

Flange Connectors This connection consists of flange rings, made of glass fibre reinforced thermosetting plastic, supports made of Polyamide and screws, washer, pressure springs and nuts, made of stainless steel.
Glass Stopcocks & Valves
Made of Borosilicate glass 3.3, distinguish by the high precession
of manufacture and the top surface quality. Barrel and hollow glass key of
the stopcock are interchangeable. The keeping of the sharp tolerance limits regarding
to the angles, mantle line and diameter of the cone leads to a large touching
area from barrel and cone. The result is a high vacuum tightness with minimal surface
Some types of stopcocks are delivered with PTFE or full glass key. Full glass keys
are recommended for use at high temperatures.
A retaining device at the key prevents inadvertent removal and gives additional
safety for operations under slight overpressure. In this point, the stopcocks fully
meet the requirements of DIN 12 540, part 1.
Besides stopcocks, valves are the most employed locking devices in laboratory
technique. Because of their various use, they have to fulfil many jobs. These jobs
reach from simple locking of a liquid at normal pressure to use at high vacuum.
