Vacuubrand and Finemech are committed to providing the best vacuum pumps and accessories to their Canadian Customers. To do this, Vacuubrand has gained approval for pumps and motors that it manufactures and will be shipping approved pumps and motors from April 1, 2005. The following pumps and motors have CSA/UL approval and the products have an emblem signifying this approval. The photograph of a VACUUBRAND MD1C AK+EK Vacuum pumping system with the approval mark is shown at the bottom of this page.

The following is the list of pumps and motors that have been approved:

All 120V pumps with one or two heads have CSA/UL approved motors in them. These are the ME 2/ME 2C series, ME 4/ME 4 C series and MZ 2/ MZ 2Cseries pumps and the BVC21 Aspirator

All 120V non-VARIO pumps with four heads will have CSA/UL approved motors. These are the ME 8 series and the MD 4 series pumps.

All 120V small-series rotary vane pumps will have CSA/UL approved motors. These are the RX 2.5 series and the RX 6 series Rotary vane Pumps.

All 120V MD 1series pumps (non-VARIO) will have C/US approved pumps.

Associated systems using these specific items except the VACUUBRAND PC-2001 will also have CSA/UL or C/US approved pumps or motors depending on the approval of the pump used in each system and its approval status. The controllers and gauges are not CSA/UL or C/US approved.

NOTE

Not all VACUUBRAND pumps are CSA/UKL Approved. Some have special motors and frequency converters that are not approved. VACUUBRAND Vacuum Gauges and Controllers are not approved by CSA. A specific list of products that are not approved is given below:

All VARIO and VARIO--SP pumps and systems.

All 8-head diaphragm pumps

230V pumps.

230V MD1 pumps.

Large rotary vane pumps. The RX 9 series and RX 16 series rotary vane pumps.
