Column Adapter - Light Phase For withdrawing either the specific light or heavy phase these column heads are available in two different designs. Both heads work with an added agent the phase divider starting the distillation.The heads are on a column which has an evacuated (10-6 mbar) silver coated insulating jacket with sight strips and a with a reflux condenser. During the distillation the rising vapor flows via the outer steam tube into the condenser and condenses. The distillate divides in a system of concentric tubes. One phase is led back as reflux to the column the other one is lateral drained. The inner dividing walls allow automatic dividing without adjustment on the present density ratio. |
